In so many ways the past several months have been devastating. Yet from the devastation, we have seen inspiring acts of compassion and heroism. We have also seen the interconnected nature of our world. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. similarly observed that "As long as there is poverty I will never be rich... as long as diseases are rampant I can never be healthy. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the way our world is made. We are interdependent." The June STAT Bulletin offers a sample lesson that speaks to society's interdependence. We hope you are able to draw inspiration from it and we encourage you to share your feedback.
