Lauren M. Fullmer, Ed.D.
Lauren M. Fullmer, Ed.D., is a Fifth Grade Teacher in Summit, NJ, Instructor for The Academy for Social-Emotional Learning in Schools - a partnership between Rutgers University and St. Elizabeth University, Adjunct Professor at St. Elizabeth University, and a Consulting Field Expert for the Rutgers Social-Emotional Character Development (SECD) Lab. Her first-hand experiences working with students in grades 1-5, coupled with four years of supporting pre-service teachers in their clinical internships at the higher education level offers her a unique perspective on the pressing need for social justice education in grades 5-12. Her primary research areas focus on trauma-informed practices to meet the needs of at-risk learners in the K-12 classroom and integrating social-emotional learning and social justice into content-area instruction.
